HOLIDAY COACHING CAMPS
The Perth Cricket Academy school holiday camps run at different venues throughout Perth during each of the four school holidays. The clinics go for either three (3) or two (2) days and run generally from 9am to 12pm each of the days and you can sign up for all days or just one of the days.
These highly interactive clinics are ideal for those boys and girls who are new to the game, are doing the Blasters program, who are playing community cricket or who started to play Premier Cricket. The main requirement, however, is that players are keen to have a good time whilst developing their basic batting, bowling and fielding skills as well as their understanding of the game.
During the camps most batting shots are covered and players will develop their front and back foot shots as well as their ability to play spin. Basic techniques and variations are the main elements of the bowling component and during the fielding sessions all aspects of catching, throwing and picking up the ball are covered.
There will be lots of games played at these camps too. Whether it's a competitive net session based on a T20 scenario or a centre wicket match or during the fielding games, rest assured that the players will be in action for most of the time!
The Perth Cricket Academy coaches are all fully accredited through Cricket Australia, are insured and have valid working with children checks. Our coaches will ensure there is enough equipment available for everyone to use, however, we do advise all players to bring their own cricket kit along if they have it as well as their water bottle and a (healthy) snack. The coach to player ratio will never be more than 1 to 8 which we feel is a good ratio to ensure the kids are able to receive a meaningful learning experience.
